Our missions

Orleans Val de Loire healthcare is currently insufficient because there is a luck of medical doctors. Time for answers.

Changing health needs, growing medical doctor, and ambitious new health goals are raising the bar for health systems to produce better health outcomes and greater social value. But staying on current trajectory will not suffice to meet these demands.

Is our healthcare system satisfactory ?

Here’s a question that’s been on my mind and perhaps yours: Is the Orleans Val de Loire healthcare system expensive, complicated, dysfunctional, or broken ?The simple answer is yes to all. Below are 1some statistics and the most convincing arguments I’ve heard that our system needs immediate actions and a major overhaul.

Our health professional demography, and more particularly medical doctors, has been a real problem in France for several years. Although public policies have been implemented to compensate for this lack of professionals, access to doctors is becoming increasingly difficult for users, particularly the most vulnerable (delays in appointments, disruptions in the care process, refusal of care, etc.).

The Centre-Val de Loire region is one of the most affected with the lowest medical doctor’s density in France. Moreover, sub-regional analyses carried out in the Centre-Val de Loire highlighted particularly under-supplied areas (rural and urban) with URGENT significant care needs in relation to the prevalence of certain chronic diseases.

The Loiret, although close to the Ile-de-France region and with an attractive and dynamic metropolis, is also struggling to attract new healthcare professionals to meet the needs of the population.
